More Thoughts Of School

It frightens me when I say with more excitement than I would have ever anticipated, only two months left of summer! With the full realization that when I'm back in class I'll miss the free time, right now I'm too bored to care. I need school. I have too much fun there. Erg. Tomorrow, it's back to the world of spilled food and squished gerbils. Okay, so maybe the squished gerbil was a one-time thing (it had BETTER be a one-time thing!!!), but the food is a three-times-a-day occurrance. I guess it's a paycheck, but next summer I'm going to aim for working with an age group that doesn't consider "stupid" to be a bad word. Anyway, a thought to consider: to what length would you go to get the money you needed to do something you really, really wanted to do?

Sweet, Sweet Weekend

Mmm. Saturday. Something about the name brings a wonderful lazy feeling.... Well, sometimes. Sometimes it brings a long list of chores that makes you groan at the thought. Either way, it's not a weekday, which in my case means no work, no homework (at least during the summer), and as much food as I feel like having. And friend time. Speaking of friends, I heard from one today that's being playing the Invisible Man lately. He didn't say much, but it was still cool. At least I know he hasn't forgotten about all of us. Been in school mode all week. Like I said last time, things are starting to come together. Now I've got my fridge picked out. Just need to get my paycheck, and I'll have that loose end covered. In the meantime, I'll spend my days wishing it was August so I could go back.

Week Review

Ah, Friday. Granted it's only been Friday for about ten minutes, but I don't really care. Close enough. Gotta work eight hours tomorrow after a rather relaxing day off, but that I can deal with. With any luck, I'll actually be able to afford a refrigerator for school. Speaking of school, things are starting to come together: my grade is going through for that horrendous government course I took (Note: Do not, I repeat, do NOT take a correspondence course if you have an attention span like mine!! It WILL take forever!), and I got an "A"; I now have a coleader/partner for a small group next year (yay Chris!); and I'm officially roomies with Ashli. Okay, so that last one came through last week, but so what? Too bad it's not August 27th. That would REALLY ease things up. At least I'd almost be back at school.

And Now, Back In The Real World

I've come to realize that I've lost my mind. Here I am, sitting on the computer, and my brain is going in fifty different directions. As I write this, I'm talking to three people, trying to order a fridge, scheduling classes for next spring, and attempting to plan out tomorrow. No wonder I'm tired. I wish I had an interesting topic for you people, but for now I've got nothing. Mer. Back to the real world.

A Typical Tuesday

Well, I'm back at work today, just like yesterday and all last week ... Mer. Things are frustrating. That's all I can say about that one. These kids are, hands down, the most annoying group I have. At least they get to go first ... It's strange. It's largely because it's the oldest group, which naturally means they know everything. Doesn't matter what the topic is. As much as I don't remember being this way, I'm sure I was, and that's equally depressing. Friends are coming to town this weekend--I can't wait. Hopefully we can all get together a couple times (only one is staying with me, as far as I know it). I've missed these guys, probably because I'm home again, where I'm expected to be one particular person. I'm myself with them. Meanwhile, I'm trying to get ready for next school year, and that in itself is rather time-consuming. We'll see. That's all I've got for now. Talk at ya later.

Coincidental Monday

Weird. Ever hear of God Winks before? A different name for coincidences, riding on the belief that there are no random happenings. Strange little occurances are there for a reason, even if they're just there to tell you you're on the right track. I graduated a year and a month ago. Before this summer, I had seen about four of my classmates (I went to school 350 miles away, the only one from my class). The first week I was home, I saw three guys I graduated with. Now, today alone, I've seen eight of my classmates, some friends, some just acquaintances. It just struck me as strange, simply because everywhere I go, there's been one. Went to work, saw one. Went to the pool, saw two. Driving, saw one. Went to eat, saw one. Went for coffee, saw three. Yup. Strange. Now I just have to figure out why it is I ran into all of them TODAY. Hmmm...

In The Beginning...

Well, this is my new blog. And for now, I have nothing to say to you people.
