It snowed. Again. On Saturday, it was 75°F outside, and we were barbecuing and playing Frisbeee. Today, it was cold and snowing and the stadium parking lot was like soup.

In other news, it turns out that I have a microbiology inner voice that sounds remarkably like my old boss. It's a very insistent voice.

A Minor Perk

So I've bragged plenty about the fabulous changes in my life in the last few months. I mean, I have a job that's just ... not very job-like. I live in my own little part of paradise. The food's great.   But there are the little perks, too. The things that may have occurred to me before I signed on but weren't necessarily part of the decision itself -- things like health insurance and nearby trails and weather that I happen to love even when it's totally screwing with me.   Enter ... this thing.   This pedometer is a bonus unto itself, as I get straight-up cash from my health insurance company just by wearing it. Springy

I hated to break the segregation, really I did, but I'm here anyway. It's been an interesting day, all things considered. I learned a little about DNA analysis (which I will hopefully be researching next year), took a make-up test, then played with the lyophilizer until I had it all figured out. Just a couple of minutes ago, I crashed a previously only-male computer lab, a little early for my group meeting so I could sit back and talk to you people. The test went shockingly well. After hearing from the rest of my class, I was anticipating the worst, but I got an A. Yay! Still recovering from my awesome weekend. There's a lot of missing sleep that I still haven't made up for, and I definitely feel it. Thankfully, the weather's been awesome, which serves as a sort of energizing force. It also lends to a bad case of spring fever. Only three weeks to go and I'm not totally certain I can make it. My birthday's right after that, but it looks like I'll be spend...

My Favorite Web Things This Week 1. That Guy With The Glasses . Particularly Todd in the Shadows. Granted, my patronization of this site led me to have a Taylor Swift song stuck in my head for two days. Aside from that, I love this one. 2. Pinterest . I resisted this one until I saw a genuine use for it. Now that I'm putting together a house again, I decided to dive in ... and it's certainly been interesting. 3. The pictures over here . 4. Treat . In a list of websites I love, I would be remiss if I did not mention this one. You can design, personalize, and send greeting cards, leaving you with genuinely original cards for ... anything.
